Mold & Indoor Air Quality

Tools & Testing

Combustible Gas Meter
Reads 25 different combustible gas
Not qualitative nor quantitative – simply reads the presence of

Moisture Meter
Using radio frequency waves to detect moisture down to 3/4"

3-in-1 Meter
Reads air velocity, temperature and humidity

Sampling is done with a pump and air cassette; or simply tape, or swab

Borescope is used to view difficult to reach areas, such as inside a wall or vent

Snifit is a carbon monoxide analyzer

Particle Counter reads the particles in the air and counts them according to their size and data logs

IAQ Sensor reads the temperature, relative humidity, absolute humidity, wet bulb, CO & CO2. Data logging is another feature of this device.

Sorbent tube testing uses colormetric tubes (often referred to as “dauger tubes”) to determine the ppm of a specific VOC. Each glass tube is specially calibrated by the manufacturer for accurate results.

Photo Ionization Detector commonly referred to as a PID.  The PID has a built-in library of 150 distinct volatile organic compounds (VOCs). It accurately quantifies the amount of gas present and is helpful in “bird dogging” the source of the VOC.

Suma Canister is a sterile stainless steel canister with negative pressure and a regulator. The regulator controls the timing of the sampling. When it is finished sampling the canister is returned to the lab for analysis. Sampling can be for the 20 most common VOCs or the complete NOISH library.
